Here are some highlights of the great Labor Day weekend at Mount Nebo State Park in Dardanelle, Arkansas with Mom’s family.
On the 3 hour trip to Mt. Nebo we always enjoy laughing at all the funny expressions the people in passing cars give us as they check out our 15 passenger van and count the 9 bikes on the back.
The Shoemaker boys were fired up with the competition against the older guy cousins. The Shoe guys won 3 games to 1....needless to say they changed the teams. Michael, with his new gun dominated the playing field, taking on two players at a time! Meanwhile, the girls enjoyed relaxing at the pool catching up on how the Lordhas worked in the lives of our cousins this past year.
It's tradition to play cards after sunset, eat chocolate chip cookies, and enjoy catching up on everyones adventures. Family is a blessing from the Lord!

Today our Grandpa was called home to the Lord. He passed away sometime early this moring. The Lord worketh all things together for good. Keep us in your prayers.
It is such a blessings to have a loving caring dad like ours. He is the absolute bestest there ever was, is, or will be. He makes so many sacrifices for each of us so that we can go/become what God has for us. Thank you for all you have done for us over the years. I am especially grateful for your spiritual leadership in the family and the way you have helped us grow in our relationship with the Lord. You are amazing. We are truly blessed to have you for our dad! Love you lots and lots, All of us. :)
